Just arrived home from CQ

I just arrived home from my latest annual training event, or CQ (Continuing Qualification) as we call it. As soon as I can I'll post pictures and a few comments. But until that time, I'm posting headline photo's of airline crews at work and play. In the meanwhile, for all of you who subscribe or read AIRWAYS magazine here's an interesting shot.

From left to right we have Clay Taylor, who writes BOTH SIDES, a monthly column that appears in Airways. Next are John and Seija Wegg, the Editor in Chief and Publisher of the magazine and myself. We all just happened to be in HNL at the same time and enjoyed lunch together. And by coincidence, I just missed John at SLC when I flew my first 767 trip from HNL.

  3. Oh good. I'd hate to have you overfly MSP or something because you were distracted by your own great writing!

  4. Welcome back Rand! You mentioned in the last blog about the domestic 767-332's - they are fairly rare around South Florida - managed to catch one in my lens today - N127DL operated the lunchtime flight from ATL-FLL today. I haven't had a chance to edit it yet - too busy editing the Hurricane Hunter WP-3D Orion and getting that on my blog. Can't wait to see more of your 767 exploits!

  7. No, that wasn't me, I was arriving home from FRA when this occurred, but it was one of my pals. In fact it was her first 767 trip. Welcome to wide-body flying!
